Work on the development of the Karaganda region Environmental Quality Targets was carried out during 2017. The work was carried out by the specialists of ECOEXPERT LLP. The right to work in the field of ecology is the State License for performance of works and rendering services in the field of environmental protection №00969R dated 08.06.2007, issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan. And also Accreditation Certificate №KZ.I.10.0716 dated 10.04.2015.
The purpose of this work was to work on the development of Target Environmental Indicators of Karaganda region based on the current state of environmental components, taking into account the economic development of the region. Calculate public health risks based on the data obtained. Develop measures to achieve the established Environmental Quality Targets. In the process of work all major cities of Karaganda region and most of the settlements were surveyed. Various areas of the environment were studied: air, soils, water sources, vegetation, exposure to physical and chemical factors, and radioactivity. Based on the results of the work, Target Indicators and a program to achieve them were proposed.
