On April 4 and 5, the regular Eurasian Business Forum "GREEN ENERGY AND WASTE REPROCESSING" (GEWR) was held at the Hilton Astana hotel, in which our colleague Akzhol Baimukhan, an environmental engineer of the project department, participated.
GEWR is the largest waste management and renewable energy forum in Central Asia and has been held annually since 2016.
The forum raised environmental issues such as the circular economy, waste management issues, and hosted a national forum on methane sponsored by the U.S. government.
Also, with the participation of representatives of government agencies, a round table was held on the transition of organizations to the best available technologies and the procedure for obtaining a comprehensive environmental impact permit, which will become mandatory for the TOP-50 polluting enterprises in Kazakhstan.
