On December 15, the Natural Resources Department of Karaganda Region held a discussion on the Municipal Waste Management Program for Karaganda Region.The program is developed within the framework of the work on establishing the Target Environmental Quality Indicators for Karaganda region. The content of the program is regulated by the Order of the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources No. 154-p of 18.05.2023. The discussions were attended by representatives of waste disposal companies, deputies of the regional Maslikhat, representatives of akimats, Department of Natural Resources and Department of Ecology of Karaganda region, as well as activists-community members of the region. Within the framework of the meeting there was a discussion of the content of the program and measures that are proposed to improve the system of municipal waste management in the administrative units of the region. Proposals were made for further development of programs for cities and districts of the region. Problems were voiced and the current situation was discussed. Based on the results of the discussion, a protocol was drawn up and adjustments to the document were made.
